About Us
DSA Metro Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky is committed to building working-class power and fighting for a world where people come before profits. We believe everyone deserves essential rights such as healthcare for all, affordable housing, and free childcare. Our vision is a democracy powered by ordinary people instead of for-sale politicians and the bosses that own them. Together, we can reclaim control of our workplaces, communities, and futures.
Current Campaigns
During the run-up to the 2024 election, we fought our Against Amendment 2 campaign in Kentucky, which would have sent public school money to private schools if it passed. In addition to our phone banking and voter mobilization efforts, we are proud to have canvassed over 9,200 homes in 4 months for this campaign. Voters across Kentucky strongly rejected this amendment with over 60% voting ‘no’, which kept public funds for the public good.
We are also proud to support workers at Amazon KCVG and Starbucks in their unionization efforts, standing in solidarity with those fighting for better working conditions. Beyond campaigns, our chapter hosts Socialist Night Schools to further political education and build a shared vision of liberation.
Our Achievements
Our chapter has a proud history of victories:
- In 2024, we knocked on 9,200+ doors to defend public school funding in Kentucky.
- In 2023, we canvassed to help win reproductive access in Ohio.
- In 2022, we helped restore abortion access in Kentucky , with DSA chapters knocking over 12,000 doors statewide.
- During the Kellogg’s strike in 2021, we raised substantial funds to support striking workers.
- In 2018, we successfully fought to save the downtown public library from closure.
Building a National Movement
As part of the Democratic Socialists of America , we’re connected to a national movement that drives change change both locally and internationally. DSA has a long history of supporting solidarity with Cuba and standing against destructive U.S. sanctions. The organization has also endorsed elected leaders like Rashida Tlaib, Cori Bush, and AOC , who continue to push for progressive policies on the national level.
Get Involved
Our chapter is member-driven and membership-funded, with every member having a say in the direction of our work. We meet monthly, with general meetings on the third Sunday of the month from 2-3:30 PM. Members help shape our campaigns, organizing strategy, and political goals. Together, we’re working toward a future where the working class holds power.
Join us and become part of a movement that fights for economic justice, worker solidarity, and liberation. Let’s build a better world—together.
